My name is Jeff and I am one of the the two owners of la Petite École Anglaise. I am an entrepreneur with a training in international business and management that grew up at Quebec in a house full of kids, since my mother operated a kindergarten at home.

I’ll present myself, I’m Julie, mother of 3 children and grandmother of 2 great sons. I’ve worked with children from a very young age. My mother, having operated a kindergarten at home herself, encouraged me to play and take care of the children in her care.

We believe that this great individuality mandates that there can never be a universal method for guiding all children the same way. We believe in two methods, the Traditional and the Montessori ones. At Maison Kinder, we understand that children are at their best when engaged through a variety of learning methods.

Maison Kinder is committed to serving the needs of the busy families of nowadays. OUR PROGRAMS
Our program is designed to meet all the developmental needs of young children. We offer both Traditional and Montessori-based Methods of education for children. Traditional since we still believe there was some good in the “old traditional way” of teaching. We emphasize discipline, respect, and good manners all the while developing the child confidence and love for learning. And Montessori-based since it is a method beyond compare to develop the whole personality of the child. Each child is different and therefore should be respected for his uniqueness and ability to learn at his own pace. We offer the child an opportunity to explore his autonomy through choices. The materials that are found in our Montessori-based center, the correct manner to utilize them, and the attention to detail in the environment help the child to adapt to his needs and to become independent. Our program follows seasons and is built on themes.

I’ve seen and experimented a kindergarten that really cared about the children and developed a passion for anything related with the development of a child and education in general. Since my wife and I have a passion for education and we’ve both had experience with kindergartens, we decided to open in 2012 Maison Kinder in downtown Montreal, which came to be a family-ran kindergarten.
We then opened Maison Kinder Montreal, a private kindergarten also in the middle of the bustling metropolis, that fast became a pioneer for the best kindergartens in Montreal. Our locations have sharp edge for family and warmth where communication with parents plays a large role in our success and we would like to keep that culture coming into La Petite École Anglaise.
We specialize first and foremost in the teaching in english. We have developed, along the years, an expertise in the field and we can’t wait to apply it. We are convinced that you will see great progress in their language learning, among other things.
We also excel in teachings of good manners such respect, politeness, and behavior towards the people around us. It is in the activities we elaborated for the children that the learning will be done simply and organically.

Some years later and here I am, opening my own family-ran kindergarten that I’ve operated with passion for almost 33 years.
I’ve always been very implicated with my own children, whether it be their academics or their extracurriculars. They’ve grown up in my kindergarten and have been such supportive and loving figures for the other small ones. I’ve been a part of the RSG committee (Responsable de Service de Garde) and spokesperson for our union (ADIM) for many years. I’ve also been a member of the administrative council (AC) of my CPE/BC. I love anything related to education of children directly or indirectly. I’ve followed along the years multiple trainings to keep myself updated and adequate in the caring of small ones, in order to always bring more for them on every aspect of life.
On my last maternity leave in 2011, I’ve decided to get my Technique d’Éducation à l’Enfance (TEE) at the Ste-Foy Cégep. I loved it and consumed dozens of literary works about it.
Always passionate of the field, I’ve decided to invest my time, my energy and my love on a greater scale. I will thus always pour my heart out and apply my obtained knowledge along these last few years onto this beautiful challenge that always tests my creativity, my determination, my leadership and my enthusiasm. It will all be invested towards your children and La Petite École Anglaise.
Along these last few years, I’ve gotten closer to understanding core human values. This brought me to do multiple trainings related including PNL coaching (neuro-linguistic programming), yoga, full mindful meditation and naturopathic and podiatric trainings.
I am so excited to meet and get to know your children!
